YUM! Significant other has been going there for a little while and raving, and I finally tried it myself. Smokey saucy sandwich was delicious, just the right amount of BBQ sauce. The bread is fluffy in the inside and crunchy on the outside. I tried a bite of the Black Cadillac as well and that's definitely what I'm having next time! Note: 3 stars for Ambiance is because this just isn't a place you go to to hang out (it's a booth next to the Home Depot entrance with 2 covered picnic tables), but I will 100% come back for the food!

Haven't been here in a while. Things have totally changed and for the better! I was very happy to see all the food options and to try their cherry limeade. It tasted great!! The presence of the cherry was definitely there and also had a great ice to drink ratio(not to mention the quality of the ice was refreshing too). Also the young man running the counter was very nice and welcoming. I'll be back for sure. 👍

I had been hesitant about trying the grilled tri tip sandwiches, but today they had a smoker going so I got the smoked pulled beef shoulder sandwich and so glad I did. Excellent bbq flavor on a great bun. The brisket mac n cheese was also flavor bomb. I'll be returning often. Possibly the BEST sandwich I've had in Rancho Cordova.

One of the best spots I’ve tried. The bread is always fresh, the ingredients taste high-quality, and everything is made with care. The staff is really kind and helpful—they make you feel appreciated every time you walk in.

This place is the very definition of fresh food/ingredients, amazing customer service, and a truly one of a kind experience!!! The sandwiches and drinks here will blow up your taste buds in the most amazing way possible!!! Every time I go here, I leave with a wide grin on my face and a life changing experience that makes me wish that every sandwich place was like this one! If you’re looking for the best sandwiches and drinks, amazing fresh ingredients or just a damn best experience in general, come down here to Big Boss Cafe, you won’t regret it!!!! Wow!! So glad I stopped in today , had the classic sandwich .. BBQ sauce,beef shoulder(very tender and beautiful smoke flavor)coleslaw, all on a toasted sourdough roll. My side was Grandma's potato salad. Also amazing. Price point was very reasonable because you can tell this is a mom.and pop spot and I'm pretty sure the owner was working the register Can't wait to go back , it will be this week !!

My wife and I saw this place at Home Depot, and it was way past lunch. So both of us settled for chili dogs. I’ve eaten a lot of chili dogs in my life time, but this one was beyond my expectations. The chili is homemade , and the taste is awesome. There’s two picnic tables for eating, and that’s where we ate. I will definitely go back before lunch to try their other sandwiches.

Stumbled on this spot during a home depot errand, and DANG!! IT WAS GOOOOOD!!!! I told myself id take the couple minutes to holler and share so others can enjoy it like I did. I had the "Fire Breather" sandwich! PERFECT balance of sweet, spicy, tender, crispy bun, melt in your mouth perfection... This is the kinda hole in the wall i'd bring out-of-town friends to. Hoping they make a full sized restaurant with this menu!!!! And maybe some fries and beers in the future :D

🥪🔥 Big Boss Cafe = sandwich heaven 🔥🥪 This spot seriously delivered… if you’re a sandwich person, you NEED to try this place 🤤 I ordered the Black Cadillac and wow… one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a while 🙌 It’s loaded with tri-tip, black garlic butter, sweet balsamic glaze, lettuce, tomato, white onion, and parmesan cheese and every bite was packed with flavor. You can tell the meat is smoked for a long time because it’s super tender and has that deep, rich, smoky taste 😮‍🔥 That said, the meat definitely carried the sandwich. I almost wish there were a bit more toppings to balance it out, like extra balsamic glaze or more lettuce and tomato. But if their goal is to really highlight the meat, then they nailed it 👏 Also got the mac and cheese on the side and this was not your average mac… it had pieces of brisket mixed in which made it even better 🧀 The flavor was so good and really complemented the sandwich I will say, the wait was a little longer than expected for the size of the line, but honestly… completely worth it once you get your food 👏 Overall, such a solid spot for high-quality, flavorful sandwiches. Definitely coming back for this one 🥪💯

Food was great, especiallythe Jal-Tip sandwich, which was large enough to feed my husband and son! Bit of a long wait, and it's outside Home Depot, but they were playing music and had picnic tables in the shade. Pricing was fair, drinks were VERY good. Had the kiwi limeade, the Yuzu Japanese Soda and the Georgia Peach iced tea.
